Dr kauls fundamental approach to tutoring the UCAT is that of guidance: students are already familiar with its main principles, even if they are unaware of it - Maths is GCSE level, most students have been acquainted with verbal reasoning in primary school and have acquired literacy from years of education. Decision making involves basic logical thinking, and abstract reasoning is a little more intuitive but many students have a good basic grasp of it already. Dr Kaul helps student identify their strength but making sure they don't become complacent besides supporting them to overcome any weak issues.
Dr Kaul teaches them extensively about situational judgement, the only unfamiliar component of the test. She conducts regular sessions and gives homework on a routine basis until the student is able to come up to a strong score of around 700. Students are then given multiple full dress rehearsals in perfect exam conditions to get them ready for the big day, which they are perfectly equipped to handle in the least stressful manner possible.
